  FOXNEWS…   One of three people sought by the FBI was captured in Canada Thursday and two were still on the loose after a federal raid and deadly shooting of a radical Islam leader whose goal authorities say was to take down the U.S. government. Federal authorities in Detroit said the son of 53-year-old Luqman Ameen Abdullah, who was killed in Wednesday night’s shootout with FBI agents, was arrested across the border in Windsor, Ontario.

Senior strategist Dirk van Dijk, CFA has issued notes on this morning’s GDP numbers. These notes will be published in two separate blogs — Growth Rates and Contributions to Growth. The recession is over! In the third quarter, GDP grew by 3.5%, comfortably ahead of expectations for 3.0% growth. This is a huge improvement over the 0.7% decline in the second quarter and the 6.4% plunge in the first quarter.

According to a report by Tejeesh N S Behlin of Mint, Indian Hotels Co Ltd, owner of the Taj chain of premium hotels is ramping up its business, opening hotels in countries such as Mexico, Morocco and other overseas markets, as it prepares for the first anniversary of the terrorist attack on its flagship Mumbai property. The chain, which went into a cost cutting drive following the slowdown and the closure of Mumbai’s iconic Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel, extensively damaged in the November 26, 2008 attack, is reviewing its freeze on recruitment, replacement hiring and salary increments that were to last until March 2010.
