Being able to make money overseas is my business. The Internal Revenue Service should let me make my money and it should not come after me for more taxes. What incentive do I have to make money overseas if the government is going to come after a small portion of it to pay for things that I don’t need, like health care or putting every welfare queen in Chicago, Illinois in her own Escalade: A debate is underway about how the United States should tax foreign-source, corporate income.

I recently read an an article in the Sur in English, which talked quite positively about British looking to buy in Spain. They recently attended a property exhibition called “A Place in the Sun” held at the NEC in Birmingham. Although smaller than previous exhibitions in the UK, “A Place in the Sun”, backed by the TV programme of the same name, held a successful show with a large turnout of people looking at overseas properties. According to the Sur:“This was especially good news for Spain, confirmed to be the favourite destination of potential property-buyers.

That is one huge appreciation and anyone who is exposed to the currency risk will certainly have noticed it. The rise of the Australian dollar is most spectacular against the US$ but its also up against almost every other currency from pounds to Euro to the New Zealand dollar.

by wandermom (October 18th, 2009) Sydney Harbor + Harbor BridgeI’ll be traveling to Sydney with my boys (but without my husband) in November. We’ll be meeting a new family member – LittleL, who was born in July – for the first time. We were able to take advantage of Quantas’ sale earlier this year to pick up flights at a fairly reasonable price (~$600 each) but I didn’t start looking for somewhere to stay in Sydney until this month and now that I’ve finally sorted that out I can share my experience.Vacation Rentals In GeneralI’m a huge fan of staying in vacation rentals when I travel with my family.

Obama’s fumbles on ‘Monday Night Football’ His propaganda has seeped into everythingRemember that time President Bush interrupted the Emmy telecast to tell people we should support reform of Social Security before it bankrupted the country? Neither do I. Yet when I tuned in to watch “Monday Night Football” this week to check out the Miami Dolphins’ Wildcat offense, I didn’t expect to see President Obama taking the direct snap and trying to pound his political message into the end zone.

Don Franks Somewhere out there is a strange land with strange customs. The head of an airline in this strange land gets paid $46,100 a week. A bus driver performing the essential job of taking passengers to the airport gets paid $544 a week. This is an experienced bus driver on the top rate. Now the rent in this strange land, for a modest home in a working class suburb is $390 a week, more than two thirds of a bus drivers pay. A driver also has to pay for stuff like food, power, transport and things for the kids.

Once a month, I’d like to feature a business or organization with the history of the place and the people involved. I sent out a 1/2 dozen inquiries, and got 4 responses within 24 hours. I’ve asked for the stories and a couple of photos (old & new, preferrably) and Magnus Toren of the Henry Miller Library was the first to send me a completed history and the first photo shown below.

It has been reported that have house prices have reached rock bottom and are on the rise again, which may be the perfect time to consider buying your first home or upgrade to a bigger home. However with money still being tight and redundancies still being a worry many are failing to heed this advice, which is bad news for all those who want to sell, and in particular, for those who need to sell fast. If you want to sell property for cash and need to sell as soon as you possibly can then you may want to consider selling to a company who will pay cash for home .

The Office for National Statistics revealed its figures on the UK tourism industry for October. It showed that UK visits abroad were down 3% on the previous quarter, and 17% on last year. We also spent 4% less. So now is not a good time to own a holiday home abroad if you are relying on British holidaymakers it is likely that you will have a much smaller market to target, and the competition intensified. However, Britain’s staying at home for their holidays is not a matter of choice, and many of them will not be happy about it; will miss their holidays abroad.
