Redistribution politics stirs among corrupt politicians like the plague. As with the victims of a plague, corrupt politicians don’t know where redistribution politics came from or the final outcome. Redistribution politics simple moves money from those who have more to those who have less. The questions are where is this money going and who is it affecting? Today’s government brand of redistribution politics reinforces parts of communism, progressivism, egalitarianism, socialism, and Marxism.

Entering the Greatest Depression in History More Bubbles Waiting to Burst by Andrew Gavin Marshall Global Research , August 7, 2009 Introduction While there is much talk of a recovery on the horizon, commentators are forgetting some crucial aspects of the financial crisis. The crisis is not simply composed of one bubble, the housing real estate bubble, which has already burst. The crisis has many bubbles, all of which dwarf the housing bubble burst of 2008.

Why I love abandoned places and things: I like to think about all the life that happened there.  People worked, ate dinner, celebrated birthdays, were born and died, things were made and put to good use in these old derelict buildings.  It seems such a shame to me that people walk by these places and only see decay, something to look away from and never stop to think about what it once was.  There is also the relationship between nature and man that is on full display.

Let me start with the fact that when examining the different asset classes, real estate is generally far less volatile than shares and real estate tends to be the haven that investors flock to when other asset classes are suffering. Actually, it is true to say that investment properties can have many advantages in terms of building long-term wealth, but we must never forget that this wealth is not maintained! It is common knowledge that following the global real estate boom of the late 1980’s many investors learnt this hard lesson when they found their properties were worth far less than they had actually paid for them and the bottom seemingly fell out of the over-inflated market.

At Redfin, we’ve long been opposed to dual agency , where the same agent represents both seller and buyer. This wasn’t an easy call because in some ways dual agency is more efficient. But we decided that it’s hard to represent both sides in a negotiation simultaneously, and the big problem is that it encourages the listing agent to market the property selectively to his own clients rather than broadly, to every possible client .

House prices in New Zealand will rise by 24% over the next three years due to low interest rates and a shortage of new housing, Infometrics has predicted in a report prepared for mortgage insurer QBE LMI. Prices could grow by as much as 11% nationally in the year to June 2010, the report said. “This positive growth is expected to moderate over the following two years as residential construction activity regains momentum,” QBE LMI CEO Ian Graham said. “On average, property is now also taking a shorter length of time to sell.
Finding A Rental Apartment Abroad - travellingadventure.com

Searching for a furnished rental in a foreign land that you know little or nothing about can be a challenging undertaking. Knowing little about the owners and the exact area where the rental home is located certainly poses some problems. Though most of the vacation home sites provide detailed descriptions and exterior and interior photos, words and pictures may only be crude reflections of reality. Unfortunately, many find this out only after they arrive and have already paid their deposit to rent the apartment.

The Everton Football Club has hired Maori dancers to perform the dance as Everton and Arsenal run onto the park at Liverpool on Saturday. Club management has vowed to go ahead with it despite written threats from a leading Maori lawyer that the dance trespasses on Maori rights and disrespects their cultural heritage.

China’s economy may be able to meet the target of an 8-percent growth this year, but the country has to improve the quality of its investment to sustain development, said the State Information Center yesterday. The SIC, a research unit under the National Development and Reform Commission , China ’s top economic planner, forecast the nation’s gross domestic product to expand 8 percent this year from a year earlier, with the agricultural industry gaining 3.5 percent, manufacturing rising 8.5 percent and services up 8.6 percent.

China will tighten rules governing the derivatives operations of domestic banks after financial institutions suffered losses during the global downturn, the country’s banking regulator said yesterday. The move would discourage lenders from trading complicated overseas derivatives and help institutions avoid financial risks, the China Banking Regulatory Commission said. The country’s banks have been asked to explain the use of derivatives products to their clients in an “understandable and clear” way, so customers can fully realize potential risks.
