I'm doing Travel & Tourism (Leisure & Tourism) in school and I need some information for my coursework. The subject is LONDON as a tourist destination; why people would go, what it has to offer and such and such. HERE'S WHAT I NEED INFORMATION ON 1) Visitor attractions: the main ones available such as Nation Trust properties, museums, theme parks, wildlife parks, etc 2) Topography: the natural features that at track tourists, rivers, beaches, coastlines, lakes, mountains, etc 3) Facilities: Range of accommodations available- hotels, guesthouses, self caters, holiday parks, caravans, camp sites, major sport, leisure facilities for visitors, shopping opportunities that would appeal to visitors, etc 4)Arts & Entertainment: any well know festivals, theatre, museum, exhibitions, art galleries, etc. 5)Sightseeing; organised sight seeing tours such as boat trips, road trains or guides walks like ghost walks. 6)Transportation links: major rail, road, air, sea, etc 7) Why would the different types of visitors appeal to London? Why would they go? Etc. Give information for each type: Families, retired people (elderly...Etc), young people, people with special needs or health issues, overseas visitors (tourists) For accommodation I may need example of popular places to rest, popular hotels or such, about the pricing and so on. For transportation I may need what’s the most useful and popular transportation and how they work in London, popular companies, if and how they can be hired for tours or such, what routes they may take (esp set ones), how much they cost, and so on. If anyone could provide real information on any of the following as best you can that would be great. I know it’s a lot but just so I can get an idea and some facts to provide, I have done quite a bit on my own but for some reason I’m having a little trouble gathering certain information. I AM ALSO TO DO SUCH A THING FOR THE LAKE DISTRICT AND BLACKPOOL SO IF SOMEONE CAN SUBMITT ANYTHING FOR THOSE ALSO FOR A GREAT START THAT WOULD BE PERFECT.

I inherited a flat in April and after renovations I let it via an agency in September. There is no mortgage involved and I have also paid off the mortgage on my own flat. I am interested in selling it for financial reasons - no job - and using some of the proceeds to purchase a property overseas in my wife's name. Would I have to pay a lot of tax and would the tax rate be different if we held on to it till next tax year? Thanks Flat is only worth about £150,000 but I also inherited cash and shares - total amount is less than £300,000. Thanks Thanks for reply. How would I find out the probate value of the flat? Please excuse my ignorance of these matters I would say that the total estate was under the threshold. So, pardon me again, I should contact the District Valuer for their value?. If they say -£160000.00 but I sell for less than that amount does that mean that there is no tax to be paid at all and the proceeds would be all mine? Thanks again.

I am a single guy who works across Asia, Europe and Soon Africa. I think its centrally located and gives me easy access to the world. My people tell me its less secure (not that i have enemies, but you never know) and too far from family and friends. I think it will give me the piece i need, Parents are only a 5 hour flight away and i can do business a lot more efficiently living around this location. Hi i am asking this question on behalf of my parents who brought from MRI in 2007, they have lost £30,000 + they were filled with false promises about rental income, there are loads more but obviously i can't put it all down on here, i would love to hear from anyone who has any info on what we can do next? thank you very much
