well me and my family are thinking about moving to Florida as we saw some houses in Florida for about £50,000 and our house is worth around £120,000 and then if we pay our mortage off we'd have £50,000 left which is about $80,000 and for that we could have a 3/4/5 bedroom house ! heres a link... is it just us or are these too cheap ? im thinking its because of the credit crunch.. ? http://www.rightmove.co.uk/overseas-property/find/USA/Florida.html/svr/3001?locationIdentifier=WORLD_REGION%5E190499&sortByPriceDescending=true&minBedrooms=3&maxBedrooms=5&minPrice=50000&maxPrice=80000&displayPropertyType=houses Theres the link ^ so does this mean that they are 'rough' areas , were not really looking someone near the parks and stuff just a nice place to live ?

I wish to 'buy to let' in the UK but am not sure whether I would be liable for tax as I am resident in Zambia and have an offshore bank account into which the tenant's rent would be paid.
